Pilates

Pilates is a method of exercising that consists of low-impact flexibility, muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates focuses on postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. Pilates is named after its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed 34 exercises that he performed at part of his daily routine in the 1920s to enhance and strengthen the entire body. Pilates is great for anyone wanting to increase fitness, reduce aches and pains and overall feel more mobile. All are abilities welcome.

Yoga

Yoga is a mind and body practice with a 5,000-year history. Yoga combines physical postures, breathing techniques and relaxation into one workout. There are many different types of Yoga. Here at Swift we mainly focus on the fitness side of yoga in a form called Freestyle Fitness Yoga. This style uses different yoga positions to stretch, release and condition the body and relax the mind. This class has many benefits including increased flexibility, mental stamina, cardiovascular fitness and stress relief. All abilities are welcome.

Mobility and Mindfulness

Mobility and Mindfulness is a mix between Pilates and Yoga. The class incorporates strengthening and mobility exercises to work and stretch the body. This class normally finishes with 10 minutes of relaxation to relieve stress and clear the mind. This class is great if you need some down time to reduce stress and overall feel more mobile. All abilities are welcome.
